It sends controller and router metrics to influxdb. It’s the same kind of metrics that you can configure to go to a file via the events: config stanza.
It hasn’t been used in quite a while and should probably be refactored to sit in the events system. I’ve added an issue to track this: Refactor influx support to be part of the events system. Remove old metrics system. · Issue #413 · openziti/fabric · GitHub
