Ziti router suddenly stops working

Our self-hosted zrok infrastructure suddenly stopped working because a ziti router could not setup a connection anymore with the controller running on the same machine. This suddenly started after more than 90 days being operational which makes me believe there might a resource leak going on eventually ending up in that scenario.

After a restart of the machine running the router and the controller, everything started working again. Will wait for a next occurrence to do a more advanced analysis of the issue.

We're currently running zrok 1.1.5 and ziti 1.6.8, we still need to look into a migration plan to move to v2 but I was wondering if in the meanwhile I could go the latest ziti 1.6.15? Should that be compatible with zrok 1.1.5? And does this issue ring a bell which could be fixed in the latest 1.6 range?

Do you have any kind of historical logs or metrics that you could share?

I would prefer to get my infra on the latest 1.6 Ziti version in case this issue has already been resolved. So my question was more targeted to see if the combination zrok 1.1.5 and Ziti 1.6.15 should be supported.

In case it does, I will upgrade and see if I still run into it. Then afterwards we can look into the troubleshooting details.

There aren't any combinations or zrok + Ziti in the 1.6 that I'm aware of that would be problematic. I would check router system logs and see if you hit any kind of OOM error or something like that, or loss of connection to the controller.
