Proxmox PBS sync over ziti fails with ZET >1.7.12

Hi, I have two Proxmox PBS servers and I pull backups to another site through openziti. Both servers have ZET installed and nightly backup sync is some where 100-200GB.

Last few months I have experienced that sync fails with other than ZET version 1.7.12. I have tried multiple times upgrade ZET to newer version (tried 1.9.5, 1.10.10 and latest 1.11.1), but all those newer version sync fails and have returned to version 1.7.12 which works.
Some time I see following errors on PBS sync log sync group vm/133 failed - connection closed because of a broken pipe.

Controller/routers been in versions 1.6.x, single controller and 2 public routes and 2 private ones. Second PBS server connects only to public routers, first one is on same network than private routers.

But on other hand I haven't have issues with other ZETs with newer versions, only with PBS sync.

Any ideas what could cause the problem?

Strange. If I understand you correctly you're saying 1.7.12 works fine. Is there any way to reliably reproduce this other than "wait"? Looking back through the releases, I'd love to know if 1.7.19 works fine. This is the last release before the 1.9.x stream.

Would you be willing to help us figure out which version exactly fails? I realize that's "kind of a pain" for you, but it'd really help us narrow down the scope.

Thanks

Yes, it's a bit difficult to reproduce :smiley:
There was an error with the last night sync, so I have now installed 1.7.19. I'll check again tomorrow.

That will be very helpful. We very much appreciate your willingness to help us find the issue.

Last night went without error with 1.7.19. On log there was few
WARN ziti-sdk:channel.c:575 dispatch_message() ch[0] received message without conn_id or for unknown connection ct[DataType] conn_id[287]

I will it run one more night and if it succeed then I try 1.9.x.for couple nights.. and after that 1.10.x

Okay, last night was success also.
Just installed 1.9.10 and will let it run over weekend and check it on Monday.

About how long has it been running 1.11.2 successfully?

If I remember correctly, I installed it about 10 days ago.
