[Question] BrowZer production-readiness — evaluating for GKE deployment

Environment

  • Controller version: 1.1.15
  • Deployment: GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
  • Client fleet: 35+ clients total, including 17+ Linux edge-tunnel (ZET) IoT devices

Summary

Evaluating BrowZer as a clientless alternative to tunnelers for some internal web-facing apps. Before committing, we need clarification on maturity and support status.

Questions

  1. Is BrowZer currently considered production-ready, or should we expect breaking changes between releases at this stage?
  2. Are there public reference deployments or case studies running BrowZer at scale that we could review?

Context

Currently running Controller 1.1.15 in GKE with 35+ clients; considering BrowZer for a subset of web apps as we plan our broader upgrade/HA strategy.

Work on BrowZer has been postponed. There have been people using it in production in the past but at this point I would consider using alternatives since we are unlikely to support BrowZer related issues at this time.

zrok is generally what we point people at instead now, it's not quite the same thing but it may be suitable and solve your needs. cheers
