I faced an error: share unauthorized
[ERROR]: unable to create share (unable to create share: [POST /share][401] shareUnauthorized)
it worked well before I face this error. I wonder why i cant able to continue using and what is this error ? I tried disable and enable, i tried uninstall and reinstall no use.
After trying login into account through zrok.io it shown an exclamation mark top of account email. No error in text indicating anything.
Just checked metrics and seen Received: 10.0 GB (upload), So i wonder is this the reason it get stopped working and showing error ? or anything else ?
I can't able to find limits in site indicating like i can upload only upto 10GB in public share. and also not able to found anywhere why this error exist and its reason. Kindly help.
Hi @Philiphackerzx Welcome to the community & thank you for the question.
Yes, the free tier does currently have a 10GB per 24 hour period limit. You should receive an email with a warning & another one when you hit the limit. The console will show the exclamation mark when you hit the limit. I believe the UI revamp in the next major release will have a better feedback system in the console
If the default limits are not enough, you can sign up to get a higher transfer limit: Pricing - zrok This will take you to myzrok.io where you can create an account & purchase the higher transfers. Please note, you currently have to create a user in myzrok.io & link it to you're existing zrok.io account. Hopefully that process will improve soon.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for letting me know the limits per day is 10GB now got the idea why facing error and also, I like to know is there any other limits exist. I can't find these limits on site.
In link you shared in site it mentioned as free open source doesn't have any transfer limit, if its only for private network skip it and if it's also for public then how to use it? pls guide if possible.
and a kind suggestion to improve error information's in console saying daily limit reached something like that and in web API too instead just exclamation mark, some error text will help we identify the issue caused coz of that reason like that ourselves.
Hi @Philiphackerzx
The Free Open Source
is under zrok Self-Hosted
. That means if you wish to setup a self hosted instance of zrok & ziti network you can do it all yourself & not have any specific limits. You can find more information by clicking on the "Download Now" button or visiting this page: Self Hosting | Zrok This option can be public or private, just depends on how you deploy it.
The zrok.io services are all under zrokNET
& begin with Starter
with all the limits listed.
As I mentioned before, the Console UI is going to be revamped in the next major release 5.x & I'm hopeful the UI feedback for limits will be improved for more visibility.
Hope that answers your questions.

Yes, Answered all my questions and thanks for the patient and detailed reply with source links. Also, thanks for improving Console UI in future, eagerly waiting. I have checked the self-hosting, and it seems like beyond my tech knowledge and also need static public IP. So, I better stick with Starter plan with 10GB limit per day. Thanks again
