Hi all,
I'm trying out Immich and self hosting in general, and found zrok fits my use-case. I've deployed my Immich instance everything works except for video uploads. I know that zrok offers a generous 10GB/day limit, but in my case, the video files are less than 100MB and fails every time it reaches 100%.
There's a one-time instance where the video uploaded successfully after 5 hours. I also asked in Immich Discord stating that it's zrok's allowed body size. I looked in the docs but didn't find anything about body size adjustment. Thoughts?
Hi @m1ssiongrill, welcome to the community and to zrok (and OpenZiti)!
That's really bizarre. You're able to reproduce this reliably eh? Your sending via http and it's not chunked? It's just one mega post?
Do you happen to have looked throgh the logs of the various components? No errors during that upload? Are you performing a single upload when it fails?
Thank you for the warm welcome!
Reproducible? Yes. I'm not sure about sending http and if it's chunked. All I did was use the zrok reserve public --backend-mode proxy command, and connected the url to the app.
So far, I tested a few video files ranging from 10MB to 100MB and most fail to upload. No problems with photos even RAW files of over 100MB. I'll take a look at the logs when schedule permits and report back.
I'd like to update this thread as solved. After updating the server to v1.109.2, the video upload works as intended.
That's great to hear! I was just talking to someone today about Immich for totally unrelated reasons. Glad to hear you got it sorted and MUCH appreciate you closing the thread with a reply. Cheers!
