As we continue to play with OpenZiti I threw it at one of my MacBook users that's mostly remote and primarily just into email. Right away I started getting complaints of disconnects. I was able to reproduce on a test MacBook. It seems to break down during change of network (moving from one wifi to another.) Restarting the tunneler (Turn Ziti Off, Turn Ziti On button) seems to clean it up.
I snagged a packet engine log during the event I can DM if anyone wants it.
I also found an older post that might be related but didn't seem like it got resolved.
Yep. On my MacBook I can reproduce by going back and forth on the hotspot to the wifi. I have one log with TRACE ready for you now. Can I DM it to you? I'd rather not post it (company details.)
I also have a Mac user in the field. I asked them to take notes on what causes it (sleep, change wifi, etc.) and will report back.
Finally got around to re-testing. Seems to be improved. I can now go back and forth from hotspot to local wifi and stay connected. That's a huge improvement. My MacBook user is out of the country. If they still have issues I'll let everyone know. Great job!
