Zrok2 vs apt install zrok

I’m confused by the zrok Docs 2.0 (Current) documentation regarding v2.0, v1 and a zrok2 binary.

I installed it by apt install zrok but there is no zrok2 binary or package available.

zrok status says it’s v1.1.11 \[1d736435\]\

The download link on the page offers v1.1.11/zrok_1.1.11_linux_amd64.tar.gz, which I assume is the same version.

BTW, on the page Install | NetFoundry Documentation, the link to the GUIDE is broken.

On the Install/Linux page, we have a third, opaque way to install zrok:
curl -sSf https://get.openziti.io/install.bash | sudo bash -s zrok
and this one seems to install v1.1.11 too.

Could someone enlighten me what's the deal with v2? TIA.

Hi @lbreuss The v2 rollout is just beginning(still in release candidate) & we are in process of rolling out all the downstream packages to all the various providers. Currently the v2 is opt in & you can find the compiled binaries in the public repository: Releases · openziti/zrok · GitHub
